Re_Source Art

Re_Source Art is a series of sculptures that addresses the urgency of the global waste crisis and increasing plastic pollution.

Inspired by the Zero-Waste Movement, a challenge to maintain a more sustainable lifestyle, this series was created entirely out of discarded, found and donated materials. The foundation for each sculpture is a plastic bottle filled with packaging, wrappers and inorganic micro-trash. Re-treated surfaces and combination techniques expose only a portion of used materials, thus encouraging careful observation and critical analysis.

The purpose of the exhibition is not only to offer a small-scale solution for material waste in the art studio, but also inspire the viewer to consider further potential in the objects they own.
